Dialysis Technology is a branch of medical science focused on the application of medical tools and technologies for identifying, diagnosing, and treating individuals facing kidney-related challenges. Dialysis technology is used to eliminate water, electrolytes, and toxins from the blood when the human kidney fails to perform its functions effectively.
This process, also known as renal replacement, is often intricate and demands the careful expertise of Dialysis Technologists who play a crucial role in treating individuals with kidney disorders. The three-year Bachelor of Vocation (B.Voc) degree program in Dialysis Technology is specifically designed to provide students with practical skills and knowledge in the utilization of modern dialysis tools and techniques. Skills of these technologies are crucial for addressing kidney-related issues in patients. The program has got approvals from various esteemed regulatory bodies, including UGC, AICTE, AIU, PCI, and the Ministry of Education. Students also have the flexibility to choose the duration of their program, and they will receive certification, diploma, advanced diploma, or degree based on the chosen course duration.
After successfully completing the Dialysis Technology program, graduates can pursue careers as medical professionals in both government and private hospitals, take on roles as educators, establish themselves in private clinics or go for higher studies. Given the increasing demand for skilled professionals in this field, the course offers a wide range of job opportunities within the expanding medical sector.
